Yot Club - YKWIM?
I feel as though this is truly one of our modern day greatest hits. I know we've all heard this song on a million sad rick and morty tiktoks but genuinely, I feel that this is truly a decade defining piece. We've become so numb to the nuances of bedroom pop, lofi, vaporwave, and ambient pop; we dont realize that these are really time period defining sounds being produced right now, today. This music faintly imitates 50s pop ballads like "put your head on my shoulder" by Paul Anka. We romanticize that period of music but at the time Elvis was the main focus, akin to how we have this song while Drake is our Evils. I think songs like this will be fondly looked back on in the year 3026.
Swae - Seven
I stumbled onto this guy recently, I proceeded to listen to his projects all day. He experiments with a variety of styles, but the experimentation is so raw and organic. Even in this track you can hear the hip hop soul sampling inspiration but its so...todayanized (term we're coining). His music is youthful and amateur in the best way, im sure they may have inspired him but his music lands on my ears the same way early odd future did. Where you can here the core genre of what theyre doing but theres this overwhelming newness to it. A newness that can only be refined. So I'm excited to see where this artist goes.
Judith - tusi
this is one of those artist you come across and youre just like, how are you flying under the radar. Track after track, this person is genre jumping genre bending, mid track. You would think this would be a jarring listen but the way these tracks transition, is nothing less than masterful. The ambition alone to even try to push for this is insane. Yea, yall go lock in.
Destin Laurel, Lance Londyn - Yup
Destin is a very talented and ambitious guy. He's one of the few artist constantly pushing for high quality music videos and consistency in the visual aspect of his music. And his music? This is just one of those guys who's...limitless. He has this one song he's been teasing (as of 8.26) that is so good and its angering me that it hasn't released, but for now we have this track and the rest of his amazing catalogue. Yall def stay tuned for this guy. Lance London is also a phenomenal RnB artist, taking the torch from the likes of Bryson Tiller and PartyNextDoor. Crazy talented, would def check him out for that late night plug&B vibe. Again, this is really a phenomenal track. Well done.
Pozer - Max B
I'll admit I've fallen off the UK scene recently, but Pozer pulled me right back in. When I last checked on the UK I was on guys like Knucks and SL with their smooth style of sophisticated drill. Pozer took that DNA, and injected it with Jersey club, dont ask how, just listen, and respect it.

ODDLY SHRUGS - Lie
This track is tight af, and yes we need more characters and personas in music. I love this whole thing.

Idk how tf they made these kicks sound like this. Listening on headphones sounding like my trunk thumpin. This is the only track ive heard from them so far but this had to make the songs of the month.

I really fw this track, dawg is walking on this. I really appreciate this new subculture forming with artists like Kino or Toki, they all have this pocket they just jump in. It’s that sound one gets when they reach complete flowstate in a freestyle. Thinking about freestyles, it has that same feeling of Lil Baby’s freestyle, but with these gritty, electronic, often video game inspired beats. I love it.
